Doing The Robot

Happy Weekend, Everyone!! Scrappin Doodles recently added Robot clip-art and I had to have it! I thought it was the perfect clip-art for a Fluency game. One strategy for having smoother fluency is to talk like a "robot", as taught by Dr. David Daly (i.e. Constant Voicing). Dr. Daly is an expert in the area of Fluency Disorders. I'm lucky to be from the same state that he lives in...Michigan! I'm even luckier to be just 30 minutes from his clinic. I had the pleasure of observing him work with a student of mine several years ago. I learned so much from him in just that 60 minute period. So, here is a little Fluency game that I made using the robot clip-art. I would recommend copying it onto card-stock for durability. It could be a fun carryover game or great to send home for practice. For your free copy, visit my TpT Store. I hope you enjoy! Below is a link to Dr. Daly's "The Source for Stuttering and Cluttering", available at LinguiSystems website. I use this book religiously! It is a great material to own! http://www.linguisystems.com/products/product/display?itemid=10029

grazie

I absolutely had to post about this topic. I can't even express how excited I was to get my first followers. I called my sister right away to tell her how happy I was. Huge shout out to Jenny at Owl Things First AND April at Wolfelicious. Maybe only other bloggers can relate to the excitement, but...I'm telling you, I wanted to scream I was so excited! Silly? Maybe. But, I don't care. I was ecstatic. I NEVER want to forget how it felt. And, I never want to forget that Jenny and Laurie were my first supporters. I love it when females support females! Grazie! Grazie! Grazie! Do me a favor...follow them, too!

Bragging Rights!

I haven't posted for a while and I feel so ashamed! But, I had a quick minute and had to post about how excited I am that Mayer-Johnson is following ME on Pinterest! It may not seem like a big deal to many, but to me...it is HUGE. I wanted to scream with excitment! Now...if I could just get them to follow my blog. ;)
